Frequently asked questions
I found a set of keys. What now?
Go to the Send a message page and enter the key code on the Qiicode keychain. You do not need an account. Preferably hand the keys in at a safe, public place, such as a town hall or lost property office, and let the owner know where.
Do I need to register my Qiicode?
No. The keychain is active straight away. You log in with the key code and password on your home card.
I lost my password or home card. What now?
A password cannot be recovered or changed, not even by us. Without it, you can no longer log in. That is why we recommend storing it in a password manager. If you have linked an email address, you will keep receiving messages by email.
I lost my keychain. What now?
Log in with the details on your home card to see if there is a message. Would you also like to receive messages in your mailbox? You can optionally link your email address in your profile. For a new keychain, order a new card.
Can I have messages forwarded to my email address?
Yes, this is optional. Link an email address in your profile and we will also send messages from finders to that address, including the text. We then keep your email address and language, which links a personal detail to your key code. You can unlink it at any time.
Are there subscription costs?
No. You pay once for the keychain, plus shipping.
Does Qiicode guarantee I will get my keys back?
No. Qiicode improves your chances, but it depends on the finder. It is not a tracker either: it has no GPS or bluetooth.
